4 Cups Cream 2 Cups Sugar mixed with
1 tablespoon gelatin 2 Cups Sour Cream 1 Tablespoon Vanilla
Blend well and
stir over medium heat until sugar and gelatin are
THOROUGHLY dissolved. Cool and then, mixing quickly, add the Sour Cream and
vanilla until well blended and smooth. Pour into
mold or bowl and chill for four hours or overnight. 12-16 servings.
I saw versions of this recipe many places... suggested serving
ideas included serving
with fresh strawberries, berries, fresh peach slices, etc.
I served it with raspberry sauce
over the top. Of course, it's delicious just plain!

2 cups heavy cream or
half-and-half 1 cup sugar 2 tsp unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup cold water 2 cups sour cream
In a small saucepan over medium high
heat combine cream & sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved, about
3-4 minutes. In a glass measuring cup stir together gelatin & water until
gelatin has softened. Pour into cream mixture & stir over medium
heat until gelatin is fully dissolved; Add sour cream,
blend well. Pour into a serving bowl
or mold & refrigerate at least 3 hours or overnight. (this recipe serves
6-8)

1 1/2 tsp. plain
gelatin (1 pkg.)
1/4 cup cold water
1 cup Cream (can use half & half)
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sour cream
Dissolve gelatin in cold water. Heat until
completely dissolved. Heat sugar in cream until
dissolved. Do not boil. Add melted gelatin and
vanilla. Cool until just warm. Add the sour
cream to above mixture and stir until combined.
Pour into individual custard cups. Chill for
several hours or overnight before serving.
Then, this dessert is wonderful topped with
strawberries or raspberries! |
