On a personal note... my husband's
cousin was married to a beautiful woman
named Kathryn. She graciously
and sweetly endured many many years of
cancer: of the breast, spine, brain,
and liver. Her smile would light up
the room.
Kathryn went to be with the LORD on March
22, 2004 What a gift she was to the
family--- we'll always be grateful to the
LORD for the joy of knowing Kathryn and
treasure the memories of her.

I
sure want to encourage you today that if you have questions about
your health, a lump, a growth or any irregular health situation,
a cough that lingers, or any
other health matter that concerns you... please go to a professional
and have your situation checked out. I seriously exhort you to not
fear what you may discover--- all God’s ways are good and He is
for you. The sooner you go, the sooner a
life-saving treatment may be performed and the sooner you can "deal
with" your situation. My own Dad put off doing this and from
diagnosis of cancer to his death was two months. He didn't have an
opportunity to make a decision as to what he might do and didn't
aggressively attempt to "fight" cancer. He allowed
fear and preconceived ideas to dictate his actions and chose
inaction!
Several years
ago I had a small tumor removed from my arm. I had had it quite a
while, and because of the nature of my father’s illness and the soft
tissue Sarcoma (cancer) that took his life, I was concerned when it
got a little larger and began to bother me. Having it removed was
very simple and the stitches were not a bother to me at all. I had
them removed a week later and by that time also had the
pathologist’s report that it was not a cancerous tumor. I was not
afraid, but I was concerned to have it checked out. I want to repeat
a couple of things for you that might be of help to you.
A wonderful thing
that death of loved ones does,
is to show us who remain, what is important!
One thing that I have come to see as important, is understanding or
learning about "that thing" that took the life of our loved one...
cancer... disease... habits... accidents...
whatever...
and then, make informed decisions as to care and treatment,
lifestyle changes, etc. needed to avoid their mistakes.
So far, my
father is the only one that I know of in our family who has died of
cancer... and so it has caused me to take an interest in learning
more about it... years have passed and I'm glad I had
that benign tumor removed.
Now, a good
website that deals with cancer is, appropriately enough:
cancerpage.com
The reply from the oncologist who answered my questions was so
quick & efficient .

Dr. Lorraine Day...
Natural, Alternative Therapies for all Diseases
and Special Facts about Cancer and AIDS.
From her site:
"You have cancer. You're going to die!" The doctors told me. "but they were wrong!" says Lorraine Day, M.D. "I refused mutilating surgery, chemotherapy and radiation, the treatment methods ALL physicians are taught, and got well by using God's natural remedies instead.."
"Dr. Day was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer but rejected standard therapies because of their destructive side effects and because those therapies often lead to death. She chose instead to rebuild her immune system using the natural, simple, inexpensive therapies designed by God and outlined in the Bible, so her body could heal itself."

There are several friends who are
experiencing good results from changing their way of eating---so this is an area I need to
learn more about, and hope to share with you in the future. They are eating only natural
organic foods and juicing vegetables. They are juicing daily, taking Barley Green
and feeling better than they ever have!

"The Hallelujah Diet is a long-term lifestyle plan,
based on God's original instructions to mankind in Genesis 1:29,
that emphasizes the importance of raw, living plant foods and their juices." Rev. George Malkmus eliminated his colon cancer and numerous other serious health
problems over twenty-five years ago by following a natural diet and healthy lifestyle.

Another address that has a great deal of
helpful information is the American Cancer Society:

A more natural approach and preventative, as well is the matter of diet and
exercise...
NYou can take a look at some other perspectives... http://www.quackwatch.org/index.html
Overweight and poor diet has been the
greatest factor in the inferior health, sicknesses or death in many of our family members.
Many have reported significant improvements with some very simple changes in diet. Our
brother in law simply removed cheese from his diet and added oatmeal which reduced his
cholesterol. Weight loss has also contributed to the health and well being of different
ones we know. I will suggest that you find a good and balanced way of eating, drinking
lots of water, exercising and getting plenty of rest. I am no expert, but I sure try to
learn and apply good habits. Its so difficult sometimes when I prefer a treat over
something healthy or when I am accustomed to a certain (unhealthy) way of preparing a meal
!
You may want to explore more about the
subject of cancer, healthy eating and prevention. If there is a specific type of
cancer you are interested in learning about, you can simply go to: http://www.ask.com ---then type in the type of cancer or
just the name cancer and you will be amazed at the number of choices you can look through.

I do not know if this is fully effective or not... but here is some information
concerning skin cancers, or Melanoma, that may help you. The following is
from ‘Essential Oils Desk Reference’:
Melanoma [skin cancer]
Melanoma is the most lethal form of skin cancer. It tends to aggressively
spread and metastasize, quickly colonizing the lymph nodes and internal
organs. It has a high rate of fatality.
A sudden change in the appearance of an old mole or the appearance of red
lesions, may indicate melanoma. If you you suspect that you have melanoma or any
skin cancer, you should immediately contact you physician.
